to track your traffic
Tracking
your traffic can be fairly easy at the but more importantly
as you go on in your Internet marketing you can differentiate customers
and send them more relevant material. This in the future will make the
difference between being OK at converting people that come to your site
to being great by converting a higher percent of your prospects

to differentiate between clients
There
are a few ways to look at prospects before they get into your internet
marketing system. You have First time buyers, move up buyers, growing
families, empty nesters and investors either seasoned or brand new Rich Dad Poor Dad type investors. This is not the
most important thing in the beginning but later on as you have more
prospects you can target your newsletters. The best way to start this
is by offering something free in your newsletter one month such as "10
things to know about Real Estate after the kids move out" Everyone that
asks for this report is going to go onto a secondary list of empty
nesters. After you have run a few different types of these adds
within your newsletter or weblog you will be able to send your monthly
newsletter with a specific bent toward these different groups and that
way the information can be far more targeted and relevant. This is
later though most people don't get this follow through because they
have not started the first step of sending out that first e-newsletter.
What
is important to your clients
Now
that you can start the whole newsletter concept fresh it is time to
find out what is important to your clients. Call all of your past
clients and current prospects and let them know that you are getting
started with an email newsletter and get their email address and
permission to send the first one, while on this call ask them if there
is anything they would like to see especially since you can be very
topical and current instead of using mail, most people will say that
they already like what you send but some may give you ideas. When you
send out your first email make sure that at the bottom there are two
things; A statement that if you like this information please forward it
to anyone who may be interested and please let me know as well. Also
ask if people would like to see anything else and to let you know if
there is other information interesting to them.
How
often to contact clients
Many
people have become nervous about how often to contact their email
list as they do not want to be spamming people unnecessarily. Most
successful internet marketers now are confident that once a week is
fine as long as the information is relevant to people. The best way to
start is this, send out your newsletter monthly and then two weeks later
send out another one that is only two paragraphs or so long that gives
a quick market update and a new listing...again either yours or someone
in the office that does not mind a little extra exposure for their
listing :)
Tracking
software
I
have always like to use Act
to keep track of my buyers and sellers and hope that you would like
this software as well. One of the things that Act has going for it is
the ability to email people straight out of the program. You will be
able to use the list setup for your newsletter for your mass mailing but
it is these individual relationships over the phone, in person or by
direct email that you are going to want to track through to individual
sales.
